I have been so busy with work and personal life that I have now not submitted anything to DeviantArt for over 6 months. Disgraceful i hear you cry! What is even more shocking is that I've had an icon set 50% finished for about 4 months and haven't found time to finish it. Sneak peak below; i really need a name... can anyone suggest? (sorry i can't embed the image in my journal I'm out of subscription!)

Well i finally got round to subscribing! Thought i should considering the bandwidth i probably use on this site. Also finally got round to a well-overdue avatar update, (clear your internet cache! you'll be amazed how many avatars change!) and have started sketching ideas for my next big thing. Currently called 'Slipstream'; it's a bit of a secret but think wiped-out with *edge*. that's all i'm saying... keep watching! Might get some architectural work and photos up soon as well.

Talking of wiped-out, I got well over 5000 downloads, 50 faves and a load more watchers in a month so I'm very happy with that! Big thanks to *skm-industries for his input and his walls. (still want a Gunshin mod by the way!!!)

Well after what seems like ages of tweaking and getting them right, the Wiped-Out icons were released last night! It looks like I'm going to get well over 1000 downloads in 24 hours so thanks! All your comments have been very encouraging and who knows this may not be the last release in this style....

The wiped-out set is progressing nicely, and got some good feedback from some testers.

I've teamed up with SKM Industries and we're producing some kick-ass wallpapers to with set. Seriously they rock and will be on my desk for a long time!

Well the Wiped-Out set is about 85% done. I'll be sending out beta sets to a few friends later this week and getting feedback before release. Really want these to go down well so taking my time with them. Some of the system icons have been hard to make as original as the rest but I'm trying to stick to the criteria of simple 2D icons, with a limited palette of colours. Trying to put the 'iconic' back into icons if you get my drift.

The future is 2D....
